Password Generator
Create a strong, random password at the length you choose.
Everything runs in your browser. Your password is never sent, saved, or logged anywhere.
What Makes a Password Strong?
Length matters more than complexity. A 16-character password with mixed character types can take centuries to brute-force, while a short 8-character password — even with symbols — can be cracked in hours on modern hardware. Aim for at least 16 characters whenever a site allows it.
Is This Generator Actually Secure?
Yes. It uses your browser's crypto.getRandomValues() API — the same cryptographically secure random source used by password managers — instead of predictable Math.random(). Nothing is generated on a server, sent over the network, or stored anywhere.
Should I Exclude Look-Alike Characters?
Turn on "Exclude look-alikes" if you'll be typing the password by hand — for example off a screen or a printed card — so you don't mix up l, 1, I, O, and 0. Leave it off if you'll copy-paste or save it in a password manager.
