JPG vs PNG vs WebP — Which Should I Choose?

Use JPG for photos where small file size matters more than perfect transparency. Use PNG when you need transparent backgrounds or sharp edges, like logos and screenshots. Use WebP for the best of both — smaller files than JPG or PNG at similar quality, and it's supported by virtually every modern browser.

What Does the Quality Slider Control?

For JPG and WebP output, the quality slider controls the compression level. Lower values create smaller files but introduce more visible artifacts; 80–90% is usually the sweet spot between file size and visual quality. PNG doesn't use this setting since it's always lossless.
